School Shutdown Letter to Parents School Closing

 

Dear Parents,

 

We are reaching out to provide you our plan for this shut down. We ask for your patience and cooperation as we work through this process. This is an adjustment for all of us. As you are now aware, students will NOT report to school until further notice. Our staff will be reporting on Monday as we continue to prepare.

Franklin Wins Blue Ribbon Award Blue Ribbon Award

U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos has recognized 14 Ohio schools as National Blue Ribbon Schools for 2019. The program recognizes schools in one of two performance categories, based on all students’ scores and student subgroup scores on designated tests, as well as on graduation rates:

  • Exemplary High Performing Schools are among the state’s highest-performing schools as measured by state assessments or nationally normed tests.
  • Exemplary Achievement Gap Closing Schools are among the state’s highest-performing schools in closing achievement gaps between the school’s student groups and all students.

School Shutdown Lunch Provided Healthy Lunch

We want to inform you that Delphos City Schools will continue to offer meals to our students. Any Delphos City School student may receive a free lunch (which will also include breakfast for the following morning) starting Tuesday, March 17 from 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM and each day Monday - Friday throughout the shutdown in the middle school parking lot. We ask that each Delphos City School student in need of a meal be present when picking up the meal. One meal per student.

Delphos City School District to Join Vantage Vantage

VAN WERT — On Thursday, March 5 during its regular meeting, the Vantage Career Center Board Of Education approved a resolution to add the Delphos City School District to the Vantage Career Center School District. On hand at the meeting were Delphos City School Superintendent Doug Westrick, Board President Erica Pimpas, and Andy North, board member.
