Kent Smelser is entering his 5th year as Athletic Director at Delphos Jefferson. Kent had previously been at Van Wert for 37 years with the last 20 as Athletic Director. Kent taught physical education at Oakwood Elementary for one year in 2017-2018.

Kents wife Jill is an office manager and they have 4 children, Kyle and wife Taylor, Katie and husband Kit, Morgan and husband Jacob, and Michael and his wife Mikha. He also has six grandkids; Palmer, Boone, Archie, Beckham, Bennett, and Poppy.
