On behalf of the students, staff and our Board of Education, thank you for choosing the Delphos City Schools! Your child is your most prized possession-thank you for allowing DCS to serve your child.

The extraordinary achievements and accomplishments of our students are the result of our highly qualified and talented faculty and staff, blended with the support and involvement of our parents and community. This unique combination makes DCS a most desirable school district and the best choice for your children’s education.

Our three facilities house innovative curriculums and outstanding services for our approximately 935 students: Franklin Elementary School (K-4), Jefferson Middle School (5-8) and Jefferson High School (9-12). Also available to DCS students is the Delphos Digital Academy, an online opportunity for students who learn best in a virtual environment.

The programs offered at Delphos City Schools are impressive. DCS offerings include a state renowned Agricultural education program; an excellent performing arts department which includes band, choir and high school musicals; solid athletic programs which include twelve varsity sports; numerous clubs at various grade levels; College Credit Plus opportunities; and a quality vocational education program. DCS provides an excellent educational opportunity for all students!

Delphos City Schools has been recognized by the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) as an Excellent with Distinction school district and most recently been nationally recognized by receiving the  Blue Ribbon Award for exceeding expectations in student academic growth.

These honors are a culmination of hard work and dedication from the students, staff and parents of the district. It serves as one area of proof DCS’s students are receiving a quality education!

The philosophy of providing an educational environment conducive to learning, supporting our students in all aspects of their life, and treating all children as if they were our own has served the district well. We will continue to strive to be a district of choice to make all stakeholders proud.

I am honored to be the Superintendent of Delphos City Schools, and I look forward to helping our faculty, staff and students continue their pursuit of excellence!

Go Cats,

Doug Westrick
